2016 New York Field Trip
Tentative itinerary for Ensemble 1 and the New Works Ensemble
Stay tuned, we will contact parents and guardians of ensemble members for a trip meeting in Dec. 2015.
Day 1 – Saturday, June 4
• Leave Seattle 9 AM, arrive New York 5:30 PM on Alaska Air Flight 8
• Ground transportation to hotel
• Dinner and city exploring in small groups
Day 2 – Sunday, June 5
• All day music workshops at the New School with professional New York musicians
• Evening student/professional performance at a New School Venue
Day 3 – Monday, June 6
• College Tour – Manhattan School of Music
• Jazz History Tour in Harlem (visit The Apollo, etc)
• Group Dinner
• Attend evening performance at Dizzy’s Club – Jazz at Lincoln Center or other similar venue
Day 4 – Tuesday, June 7
• College Tour – Juilliard
• NYC sightseeing TBD
• Ground transportation to Airport at 3:00
• Leave New York 6:30, Arrive Seattle 9:40 on Alaska Flight 11
